Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks asks hunters and others recreating outdoors to report any sightings or signs of wolves. Wolf reports help FWP maintain accurate documentation on the distribution of wolves.
Hunters and others can enter reports of wolves online at fwp.mt.gov. Search for: " Wolf Observation Report ," or contact the nearest FWP office.
A gray wolf is, on average, 2.5 feet tall, 5-6 feet long, and 70-120 pounds with a broad snout, round ears and fur that ranges from black and grey to white.
